Relying On a Single Income

We want a secured job.

Sadly, no job is forever. If I lost mine today.

Will I be worried?

It's always a great feeling to have a job. We like security.

We know:
1. Utility bills are paid.
2. Loans are cleared.
3. We buy what we want.
4. Our pockets are full.
5. Bank figures are going up.

There was a period that I was unemployed. I was a full-time dad. The feeling of uneasiness wasn't fun.

My bank account was dipping. It felt better knowing my wife worked. However, I took not a single cent from her.

I was strained emotionally and mentally. I wanted to earn. But I've got no other skills.

I made a point not to go through that again. I need to make sure money comes in. Even if I don't have a job.

So, I upskilled based on certain interests of mine. I learnt web designing. I practised writing. I studied marketing.

As long as my mind was willing, I absorbed them all.

If one day, this doctor loses his job. The day when everyone starts to eat an apple a day and keeps the doctor away, I'm owned. Triple-killed.

That said, I'm less worried now. Because I know I have another source of income. I can still make cash flow in even if I lose my job today. I'm mentally at peace.

Will you be worried?

Nonetheless, I like having a job. Until then, stay away from the apples.
