How do we reply to comments?
Professional vs Casual
Without smiley, haha or lol kinda stuff, the comment would end up sounding too "serious" for my taste. At least for me, personally. Besides, I don't have that look in the first place, to begin with.
It means replying in a prim and proper way. Good grammar. No shortcuts. Don't use words such as "dunno". We should address one appropriately based seniority and titles. No macha. Takde "bro" here and there.
However, Teacher Kean said that it depends on our brand. Which makes sense too.
On the other hand, Daniel mentioned that there is no right or wrong. It depends on the brand and personality. Being casual allows one to reach out to others and touch base with them. Opposed to treating LinkedIn connections as just another number.
Ezwan summed it up nicely. He states that we should stay true to ourselves. If you're a serious person in a formal/office environment, go ahead and be one. If you're a casual one, then by all means. Either way, it should be done so in a respectful manner.
At the end of the day, it's based on what our goals are on LinkedIn. Each and every one of us has a different objective.
How would you do it?
