Truth is, they mean nothing.

We keep chasing these numbers. The bigger, the better. We connect and connect every day.

I've been using Linkedin for a year now. I admit. I'm guilty of being part of the rat race earlier. More is always better mah.

Oh, my network grew. However, despite the connections I have, I actually felt disconnected.

There were no real relationships. They're just numbers. So, I made a point to know everyone better. We can't expect change if we don't change ourselves.

So, I did this:

1. Wrote to engage.
2. Replied comments meaningfully.
3. Messaged behind the scenes.
4. Met people in real life.
5. Shared insights and thoughts.

Thankfully, I know my connections better now.

Behind a number is a person with a unique personality and struggles.

So, connections mean nuts if we don't make an effort to know them. Build relationships and not numbers.
